Hopewell offers respite options for families who need temporary relief from the struggles of home care. Our homes are staffed by skilled and caring professionals who endeavor to make your loved one’s stay comfortable, safe, and engaging. We offer a variety of activities, outings, and social opportunities. Funded by the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services, our respite homes serve the Guelph, Wellington and Dufferin County.
Hopewell operates several homes for people with developmental needs, including complex medical needs and behaviour support. Our support is individualized to help every child, youth, and adult resident lead a meaningful life.
Our first home opened in Ariss, Ontario, where we support people with severe developmental disabilities and significant medical needs. We also operate three other, smaller residential homes in the Wellington community.
We believe everyone deserves the right to play. PlaySense is a fully-accessible recreation centre that addresses the physical and educational needs of disabled people of all ages and ability levels. The PlaySense program includes camps, PD day recreation, evening programs, and more.
